Refund policy

14-Day Hassle-Free Return Requirements:

  • Most hobby metal detectors and accessories are eligible for a refund within 14 days of purchase.*
  • All products must be returned in the original packaging with all manufacturer accessories and promotional items.
  • Only products that have been unopened and unused are eligible for a refund.
  • Your return will be subject to a 20% restocking fee plus any other fees such as credit card fees. 
  • You will be responsible for all shipping charges. A tracking number is required for all returns.
  • You must contact customer service at (256)284-2247 to receive an RMA number and return address. 
  • Once we receive your return, please allow 7 business days for your return to be processed.
  • See the pre-order refund policy below for information related to pre-order items prior to release*
  • Refund Policy Excludes all professional detectors including, but not limited to, Garrett ATX models, Fisher Research Labs, XP Xtreme Hunter, Minelab GPZ 7000 & all GPX Models, and Nokta / Makro Professional Units as these units will not be eligible for return and all sales are final. Warranty issues will be covered by the respected manufacturer. Returns are also not accepted on used inventory or discontinued models.

*Refund Policy related to Pre-Orders is covered by Pre-Order Policy below and takes precedence until which time the order is shipped to the customer. Once a pre-order item has been shipped to the customer it would then be regulated as any standard order subject to the standard refund policy found above.

 

Pre-Order Refund Policy

Pre-Order / Pre-release products/items are items that have been announced by the manufacturer but not yet released for sale. At times we will allow Pre-Ordering of those items, in which case we will allow the customer to place a deposit or full payment. The item will not be shipped until we receive inventory. Those items will be shipped as stock becomes available in the order full payment was received until pre-orders are all filled. 

A 6% deposit of the total item cost is required as a minimum deposit for any Pre-Order and that 6% deposit amount is NON-REFUNDABLE for any reason. Should a customer place a pre-order by paying in full for the item and later request a refund prior to receiving the item, we would honor the refund for the amount paid, minus the 6% deposit amount. After a refund has been issued the customer would be allowed to rejoin the pre-order queue with a new order should they choose, but would not receive their previous place in the queue. 

We are not responsible for limited availability in filling pre-orders as those are controlled by the manufacturer and their distributors. We will however always order more than the initial pre-order amount in our best effort to lessen wait times. Ultimately we are at the mercy of the distribution as all other metal detector dealers. 

If you place the minimum deposit and your place in the queue comes due, you will receive an email and have 24 hours from the time we send that email to complete the final payment before we move to the next place in line. In the event, you do not complete the remaining payment within 24 hours we will move to the next order in line, but will make our best effort to place you in the queue for the next shipment. For this reason, we HIGHLY recommend including your phone number in your account so that we have multiple ways to contact you.


Example: Customer Pre-pays in full $1599 USD for a Pre-Order metal detector but cancels by calling our service line (256-284-2247) requesting a refund. The customer would forfeit the $95.94 USD deposit but would receive the remaining $1503.06 of their initial payment refunded to their original payment method. 


 

Defective Returns:

If you believe you have a defective item, please contact Customer Service within five days of receipt. After five days, you must return the defective merchandise to the manufacturer for replacement or repair.

Misuse/abuse of the item or customer accidental damage (not related to shipping) does not qualify for defective product returns and must be repaired through manufacturer-authorized repair centers.
