Description
Fisher F-Pulse: The Pinpointer That Does Not Chatter on the Beach
If you have ever run a standard VLF pinpointer across wet salt sand or black-sand gold ground, you know the sound: a constant false scream that makes the tool useless exactly where you need it most. The Fisher F-Pulse solves that with pulse induction, the same technology beach and gold machines use, packed into a pinpointer. In salt water, black sand, and heavily mineralized soil it stays quiet until there is actually metal under the tip. That one difference is the entire reason to own this over the pinpointer that came bundled with your detector.
Why the F-Pulse and not a VLF pinpointer
Most pinpointers on the market, including the category default, are VLF. They are fine in mild dirt and miserable on the beach. The F-Pulse is one of the few pulse-induction pinpointers made, and PI is what gives it stable, honest behavior in the ground that defeats the others. It is fully waterproof, submersible to 6 ft (1.8 m) for one hour, so it goes in the water hole, the creek, and the surf line with you. A Proportional Target Alert ramps the audio and vibration up as you close on the target, so you feel exactly where the coin is instead of guessing. Three sensitivity levels let you tighten it down in trashy ground or open it up for small, deep targets, and a one-touch retune clears falsing on the fly. A bright LED lights the hole for dawn hunts and deep plugs. It runs on two common AA batteries for about 25 hours, so there is no proprietary 9V habit to feed. It works alongside any detector brand you already own.

F-Pulse or the Teknetics Tek-Point?
We stock both, and they share the same pulse-induction core. The F-Pulse is the Fisher-red version; the Teknetics Tek-Point is the green one. If you already run Fisher gear and like matching your kit, the F-Pulse is the natural pick. Not sure which suits your ground? Call (256) 284-2247 and we will talk it through honestly.
History Seekers is an authorized Fisher dealer with pinpointers in stock. The story is more important than the artifact.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will the F-Pulse work on the beach and in salt water?
Yes, that is its whole point. Its pulse-induction design stays stable in wet salt sand, black sand, and mineralized ground where ordinary VLF pinpointers chatter and false. It is submersible to 6 ft (1.8 m) for up to one hour.
What is the difference between the F-Pulse and a cheaper VLF pinpointer?
Technology. Most pinpointers are VLF and struggle in salt and mineralized ground. The F-Pulse uses pulse induction, the same approach as dedicated beach and gold detectors, so it keeps working where the others quit.
What batteries does it use?
Two AA batteries, good for roughly 25 hours. No proprietary 9V cell required.
Does it work with any metal detector?
Yes. A pinpointer is a standalone recovery tool and the F-Pulse works alongside any detector brand or model you already own.
How deep will a pinpointer detect?
A pinpointer is a short-range recovery tool, not a search detector. It confirms the exact location of a target inside the hole your detector already found, tightening recovery and shrinking your dig.
