Description

Every original Equinox 600 and 800 is now old enough that its internal battery has real miles on it, and a machine that once hunted all day starts asking for lunch breaks. The genuine Minelab Equinox 600/800 Battery (part 3011-0405) is the official 3.7V 5000mAh cell that restores the runtime these detectors shipped with.

At a glance

Genuine Minelab accessory, part 3011-0405, UPC 811493017150. Fits: Minelab Equinox 600 and Equinox 800 only. Official OEM replacement part sold by History Seekers, an authorized Minelab dealer, at Minelab's approved price.

Why this exact cell and not a generic 18650

The Equinox battery is not a loose consumer cell: it is a 26650-format 3.7V 5000mAh pack with Minelab's connector and protection wiring, rated 18.5Wh on the label. Fitting a generic cell means splicing connectors inside the detector housing; fitting the official part means the machine goes back together the way Minelab built it. Replacement takes basic care and a screwdriver, and the payoff is an Equinox that hunts like it did in year one. CRITICAL fit note: this is the cell for the ORIGINAL Equinox 600 and 800 only; the newer Equinox 700 and 900 use a different pack (part 3011-0456), which we list separately.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this fit the Equinox 700 or 900?

No. The 700 and 900 use a different pack, Minelab part 3011-0456, which we list separately. This 5000mAh cell fits the original Equinox 600 and 800 only.

Is replacing the Equinox battery difficult?

It is a careful but straightforward job: open the sealed compartment, swap the cell on its connector, and reseal. If you are not comfortable opening the housing, a detector service center can fit it quickly.

How do I know my battery needs replacing?

Shrinking runtime is the tell. If a full overnight charge no longer covers a normal hunting day, the cell has aged and a genuine replacement restores original performance.

Every History Seekers order is packed by people who run these machines in the field. We know which parts fail, which spares earn their keep, and we stock them because we have needed them ourselves. The story is more important than the artifact.
