Description
Coiltek 14x9" Elite-Max Mono Search Coil for Minelab SD, GP and GPX
At a glance: The Coiltek 14x9" Elite-Max is a 14 x 9 in / 350 x 225 mm elliptical mono search coil for the classic Minelab pulse-induction golds: the SD series, the GP series, and the classic GPX (4000, 4500, 4800, 5000), plus the AlgoForce E1500 and E1500 Plus. It is the biggest Elite-Max: superior depth and ground coverage for open country. 990 g / 35 oz, waterproof to 1 m / 3 ft, skid plate attached, 2-year Coiltek warranty. Not compatible with the GPX 6000 or SDC 2300.
Open ground, deep gold. When the shallow gold is worked out and the field is wide, this is the Elite-Max that reaches down for what is left.
Some gold ground is won on depth and coverage: open flats, worked-over patches, wide washes where the easy gold is gone and what remains sits deeper than a small coil can reach. The Coiltek 14x9" Elite-Max is built for that. It is the biggest coil in the Elite-Max line, a 14 x 9 in / 350 x 225 mm elliptical mono loop that sweeps a wider path and drives your SD, GP or classic GPX deeper, so you clear open ground faster and reach the deep gold. Its elliptical shape keeps it maneuverable enough to actually work a patch, not just cover it.
Why the 14x9"
The three Elite-Max sizes each solve a different problem. The 10x5" is the narrow pinpointing coil for small, shallow gold in tight spots. The 9" round is the all-around coil. The 14x9" is the specialist you reach for when depth and coverage are the whole job: the widest sweep and the deepest reach in the line, at 990 g / 35 oz. It is not the coil for tight, rocky corners, so pair it with a smaller Elite-Max for those. On open ground it does what nothing smaller can.
Mono is the point. On mineralized, ironstone-heavy gold ground a mono loop runs hotter and pushes deeper than a Double-D while keeping small-gold sensitivity. Coiltek builds it to last: waterproof to 1 m / 3 ft, a skid plate attached from the factory, and a 2-year warranty. Fitment matters, so be exact: it fits the Minelab SD and GP series, the classic GPX (4000, 4500, 4800, 5000), and the AlgoForce E1500 and E1500 Plus. It does not fit the GPX 6000 or the SDC 2300, which use different coils.
