Description

Most gold panning kits give you a pan and a screen and call it a kit. The XP Gold Pan Premium Kit gives you the whole finishing bench: two pans, two classifiers, and the accessories that get the color out of the pan and into a bottle. If you are starting out, this is a complete setup in one box. If you already pan, it is the kit that fixes the two things that cost you gold: material you never classified, and fine gold you could not see.

Why this kit

XP built these pans around one idea: gold is easier to trap and easier to see. The pans use XP's "snake skin" surface texture instead of a smooth sandy zone, which grips fine gold during the finishing stage where most of it is normally lost. They are molded in blue on purpose: blue sits opposite yellow on the color wheel, so gold shows against it better than in a black pan. And you get two classifiers, not one, which is the part that separates this kit from the rest.

What each piece does

XP Gold Pan 37 cm (15 in) The working pan. Large 90 degree riffles do the first clearing on large and medium gold.
XP Gold Pan 27 cm (11 in) The finishing pan, for the last concentrate down to color. Stacks inside the 15 in.
Classifier #10 and Classifier #5, both 37 cm (15 in) Two mesh sizes that stack together for a double sieving action in one pass, over a larger sieving area than most classifiers. Classify once, not twice.
Snake skin texture + mini riffles Grips fine gold at the finishing stage and separates gold dust from sand where a smooth pan lets it wash away.
Blue color Optimal contrast: gold is easiest to spot against blue.
Accessories: 150 ml suction bottle, pipette, vial, 2 mini tubes, magnifier Collect it, inspect it, store it. The pieces people forget until the gold is on the table.
Fully stackable Pans and classifiers nest into one compact stack. It travels as a single unit.

Two classifiers is the point

Classifying is the step people skip, and it is the step that makes every other step faster. A pan full of gravel is mostly you moving rocks. Most kits hand you one screen, so you either classify coarse and still fight rock in the pan, or run your material twice. The Premium Kit stacks the #10 over the #5 so one pass through the stack does both jobs, and the sieve area is bigger than most classifiers on the market, so it goes faster.

Who it is for

Beginners who want one box that covers everything from screening raw material to bottling the color. Prospectors who already swing a detector and want to sample a creek properly instead of guessing. And anyone who has watched fine gold ride out of a smooth pan and wants a surface that holds it.

Where this fits

Panning tells you whether ground is worth working, and it recovers the fine gold no detector can hear. If you want to see the whole workflow from digging to bottling, read our Gold Recovery Equipment Guide, or browse the rest of our gold recovery equipment. XP built this range to pair with their high frequency XP metal detectors for prospecting.
