The Minelab SDC 2300 is a compact, hard-hitting gold detector, and the Coiltek 11" Gold Extreme turns it into a deeper, wider-covering machine. At 11 in / 275 mm it is a large round mono loop with excellent depth ability and the coverage to clear ground faster than the stock coil, while still holding good sensitivity to the smaller gold that makes an SDC 2300 worth swinging. It is the coil for opening up a patch and reaching the gold that sits below where the stock coil stops.
Why the 11" round
The three Gold Extreme coils each solve a different problem. The 10x5" is the small, sensitive coil for tight, overgrown ground. The 14x9" elliptical has the best ground coverage in the series. The 11" round sits between them as the depth-and-coverage all-rounder: bigger than stock for depth and ground coverage, round for even response, and still sensitive enough for small targets. If you want one Gold Extreme coil to reach deeper and cover more without giving up the small gold, this is the size.
Mono is the point. On mineralized gold ground a mono loop runs hot and pushes deep. It comes with a skid plate attached from the factory and a 2-year Coiltek warranty. One thing to know before you buy: to fit any Gold Extreme coil to the SDC 2300 you need the Coiltek Gold Extreme Accessories Pack (a one-time purchase). If you do not already have it fitted to your Minelab SDC 2300, add the pack with this coil.
