Minelab GM 10 Search Coil for Gold Monster 2000 - Part 3011-0527

Description

Every patch has a spot the 5 in coil never quite reached: the wash that runs wider than your swing, the tailing pile that eats an afternoon, the ground you covered but never really covered. The Minelab GM 10 search coil is how a Gold Monster 2000 stops sampling ground and starts clearing it.

Compatibility first: read before ordering.

This is the GM 10 for the Gold Monster 2000, part 3011-0527. It does not fit the Gold Monster 1000. Minelab uses the GM 10 name for two different parts: the Gold Monster 1000 takes part 3011-0336, and the two coils are not interchangeable in either direction. If you run a GM 1000, order part 3011-0336 instead.

Why This Coil

The Gold Monster 2000's 45 kHz engine is quick on small gold, and the stock 5 in coil is a scalpel. The GM 10 is the wide blade: a 10 x 6 in (25 x 15 cm) Double-D elliptical that covers roughly twice the sweep per pass and gives the signal a longer look at medium and larger targets in the 6 to 12 in (15 to 30 cm) range. The elliptical profile keeps the nose narrow enough to work between obstacles while the added length stretches every sweep. Genuine Minelab build, direct bolt-on with the included hardware, no adapters.

Specs and What They Mean in the Field

Spec What It Does for You
10 x 6 in (25 x 15 cm) Double-D elliptical Wider sweep per pass; faster coverage of open washes and tailings without giving up target separation.
Deeper reach on medium and larger gold Pieces sitting below the 5 in coil's comfortable range come into play, especially in the 6 to 12 in (15 to 30 cm) band.
Submersible to 3.3 ft (1 m) Creek beds, shallow crossings, and wet bedrock are workable; keep the control box dry.
About 1.12 lb (507 g) with skidplate Light enough for full-day swings on the GM2000's shaft.
Fitted skidplate included Scrape rocky ground without chewing up the coil shell.
Genuine Minelab, part 3011-0527 Full manufacturer warranty; exact fit on the GM2000 yoke with included bolt, washers, and fixings.

Who It's For

GM2000 owners who have gold country to cover: open desert washes, hydraulic pits, dredge tailings, and patches that produced before and deserve a second, deeper pass. If your ground is tight brush and boulder crevices, stay on the stock 5 in coil and add the GM 10 for the open stretches.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the GM 10 coil (3011-0527) fit the Gold Monster 1000?

No. This coil (part 3011-0527) fits the Gold Monster 2000 only. The Gold Monster 1000 uses a different GM 10 coil, part 3011-0336. The two are not interchangeable in either direction, despite sharing the GM 10 name.

What is included with the GM 10 coil for the Gold Monster 2000?

The box includes the 10 x 6 in (25 x 15 cm) Double-D search coil with a fitted skidplate and the mounting hardware (bolt, washers, and yoke fixings). It carries Minelab's manufacturer warranty.

Is the GM 10 coil waterproof?

The coil is submersible to 3.3 ft (1 m), which covers creek beds, shallow water crossings, and wet bedrock work. The Gold Monster 2000 control box is not submersible, so keep the detector body dry.

When should I use the GM 10 instead of the stock 5 in coil?

Use the GM 10 when coverage and depth matter more than tight maneuverability: open washes, dredge tailings, and worked-over patches. The larger 10 x 6 in footprint covers ground faster and reaches medium and larger gold deeper than the 5 in coil. Switch back to the 5 in coil for dense brush, boulder fields, and the smallest shallow gold.

Is this a genuine Minelab part?

Yes. Part 3011-0527 is a genuine Minelab accessory coil sold through authorized dealers, and History Seekers is an authorized Minelab dealer. Genuine coils carry Minelab's warranty; imitation coils do not.

History Seekers Metal Detectors is an Authorized Minelab Dealer.

We were among the few dealers in the country to have this coil on the shelf at release. We prospect with the machines we sell, and we will tell you straight when the stock 5 in coil is the better tool for your ground. Restock is on the way; grab the in-stock alert and it will ship the day it lands. Because at History Seekers, the story is more important than the artifact.
