The short answer: the Minelab Gold Monster 2000 ships with the GM2000-05 5 in / 13 cm round Double-D coil, and its one accessory coil is the GM 10, part 3011-0527, a 10 x 6 in / 25 x 15 cm Double-D elliptical. Audio is wired: the internal speaker or the 1/8 in / 3.5 mm earbuds in the box, no wireless option. Power is two removable 2700 mAh Li-ion batteries, charged from the universal AC cable and the 12 V car battery lead that both ship in the box, or from Minelab's Universal Mains Charger. Everything on this page fits the Gold Monster 2000, every link is a product we carry, and if you are unsure, call 256-284-2247 and ask.

The one mistake to avoid: Gold Monster 1000 coils do NOT fit the Gold Monster 2000. Minelab uses the GM 10 name for two different parts: the 1000 takes part 3011-0336 and the 2000 takes part 3011-0527, and neither fits the other machine. The 1000's 5 in / 13 cm coil (part 3011-0337) does not fit the 2000 either. Two more differences worth knowing before you buy accessories: the 2000 has no AA battery fallback (the 1000 does), and it has no wireless audio.

Search coils for the Gold Monster 2000

The 5 in / 13 cm GM2000-05 coil comes in the box and is the coil for tight ground, bedrock crevices, and the smallest gold. The accessory coil is the coverage tool:

Fit note: the coil is waterproof to 3.3 ft / 1 m, the control pod is rainproof only. Keep the pod dry when you work a creek.

Power and charging

  • Minelab Universal Mains Charger (part 3011-0339): the wall charger with four interchangeable regional plug heads. Minelab lists it as compatible with the Gold Monster 2000, the Gold Monster 1000, the SDC 2300, and the GPX 6000, so one charger covers a whole gold kit on a trip.

Fit note: the box already includes the universal AC charging cable and a car battery charger lead that clips to a 12 V vehicle battery. The Gold Monster 2000 uses the same Li-ion battery packs and chargers as the Gold Monster 1000, so a 1000 owner stepping up keeps every spare battery and charger they already own. The mains charger is the spare, or the one that stays in the truck.
