Description
One connector detail decides whether this coil is right for you: the base EuroTek and the Digitek take a push-in plug, and no screw-in coil will ever mount on them. Most shops that list this part at all give it a single sentence. It deserves better, because on the plug-in machines this 5 in / 13 cm Double-D is the difference between skipping trashy sites and actually hunting them.
At a glance: genuine Teknetics 5 in / 13 cm Double-D search coil with the PLUG-IN (push-in) connector, part number 5COIL-TEKB. For the base EuroTek and the Digitek only. If you own the EuroTek Pro or any screw-in Teknetics or Fisher machine, the coil you want is the screw-in part 5COIL-TEK instead.
Plug-in fitment, spelled out both directions
The one thing other listings get right about this coil is a warning that it will not function on the EuroTek Pro. That is true, and here is the rest of the picture. It fits the Teknetics EuroTek and the Teknetics Digitek, and First Texas also prints the older plug-in Alpha-B, Delta-B, Liberator and Titanium, which we do not stock. Going the other way: no Greek-series machine, no G2 variant, no Fisher F-series and no EuroTek Pro can use it, because all of those take the screw-in connector. Match the plug on your current coil cable and the answer is settled in five seconds.
Why this coil: precision for the plug-in machines
The base EuroTek earns its keep in parks and yards, and the Digitek is the machine many families put in a kid's hands first, and both spend their lives on ground where trash outnumbers treasure. That is the case for this coil. A 5 in / 13 cm Double-D head resolves the coin next to the bottle cap as two targets instead of one noise, and it maneuvers where the standard head will not: between roots, against foundations, along chain-link fence lines, through playground bark. When you want lawn-covering sweep on the same machines instead, the 8 in / 20 cm plug-in coil (part 8COIL-7B13) is the step up. Owning both turns a modest detector into a two-tool kit.

Fitment questions, answered plainly
I have a EuroTek. Which EuroTek coils do I buy? The base EuroTek takes plug-in coils: this 5 in / 13 cm and the 8 in / 20 cm part 8COIL-7B13. The EuroTek Pro is a different, screw-in machine despite the shared name; its coils are the -TEK screw-in parts.
Why choose the 5 in / 13 cm over the 8 in / 20 cm plug-in? Trash and tight spaces. The small head separates close targets and fits where the larger one cannot; the 8 in / 20 cm covers more lawn per sweep. They solve different sites.
Will the coil survive a creek? The head is submersible. Keep the control housing above water, and if you want the rated depth for your exact machine, call 256-284-2247 and we will look it up together.
History Seekers is a small American detecting shop and an authorized First Texas dealer, which covers Fisher, Teknetics and Bounty Hunter under one El Paso roof. We hire people who dig, so the voice on our phone has untangled a connector question or two in the field. The story is more important than the artifact.
