Description
Teknetics Alpha 2000: Turn It On, Go Hunt
Some people want fifty settings. Most first-time detectorists want to find something on Saturday. The Alpha 2000 is Teknetics' answer for the second group: preset ground balance means there is nothing to tune before the fun starts, and the machine behaves the same in the yard, the park, and the beach dry sand. Turn it on, set what you want to ignore, and swing.
Why the Alpha 2000
Simple does not mean crude here. Multi-category notch selection lets you silence exactly the trash your park is full of, category by category, while customizable discrimination trims the rest. The all-metal motion mode opens the machine up for open-field hunting where every target deserves a look. A real digital target ID tells you what you are over before you dig, which is the feature that separates true detectors from toys. It is a full-size, full-featured First Texas machine made in the USA, in stock here while at least one national dealer currently shows it sold out. In our Greek-series ladder, the Alpha is the front door: step to the Delta for depth readout and three tones, the Gamma for ground balance control, the Omega for the full instrument panel. All four are on our shelf.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Teknetics Alpha 2000 good for beginners?
It is built for exactly that: preset ground balance means zero setup, and the notch system is the only control you need to learn the first week.
What does preset ground balance mean?
The detector comes factory-tuned for typical soil, so there is nothing to adjust before hunting. In unusually mineralized ground, a machine with adjustable balance like the Gamma 6000 goes deeper.
Is it waterproof?
The search coil is waterproof for wet grass and creek edges; the control housing is not submersible.
Alpha 2000 or Teknetics EuroTek?
Both are honest starters. The Alpha is the Greek-series entry with category notch; the EuroTek counters with its 1 to 99 numeric target ID at a lower price. Call us and we will match one to your hunter.
Can it find jewelry and coins?
Yes, those are its home targets, in parks, yards, and dry beach sand.
