Description
On open ground the F70 and F75 reward the coil that covers the most acreage per sweep. The 10 inch elliptical is the open-ground coil for the F70 and F75: a wide sweep line for clearing fields and parks fast without losing the deeper targets a smaller coil skims over.
At a glance: This is the genuine Fisher 10 in / 25 cm elliptical search coil with the First Texas screw-in connector, for the F70 and F75. The elliptical shape widens each sweep for efficient coverage on open ground, making it the coil for clearing fields, parks and pastures on both machines. It also fits the Teknetics Patriot on the same platform.
Genuine First Texas, in stock
This is the genuine First Texas Fisher part 10COIL-F70, not an aftermarket copy, and we stock it. It is the 10 in / 25 cm elliptical search coil for the machines listed below. New to coils? Our Search Coil Buying Guide covers size and Double-D versus concentric before you choose.
Which detectors does it fit?
This coil uses the First Texas screw-in connector that the Fisher F-series and the Gold Bug, Gold Bug Pro and Gold Bug DP share. It does not fit the Gold Bug 2, which has its own dedicated connector, or the plug-in Teknetics EuroTek and Digitek. This coil is compatible with: Fisher F70, Fisher F75, Teknetics Patriot.
Why the 10 in elliptical coil
A 10 inch elliptical coil is a coverage coil: its stretched shape clears more ground per sweep than a small coil, which is what open fields, parks and pastures reward when the finds are spread out. On the F70 and F75 it is the coil to reach for when you want to cover acreage efficiently while still holding good depth on coins and relics. Pair it with a smaller coil for trashy, tight ground where separation matters, and with a Double-D coil when the soil turns hot and mineralized. It fits the F70, F75 and the Teknetics Patriot, all on the First Texas screw-in connector.

How is this size different from the others? The 10 inch elliptical is the open-ground coverage coil for the F70 and F75. Pair it with a smaller coil for trash and tight spaces, and a Double-D coil for depth in mineralized ground.
Is it waterproof? First Texas search coils are submersible; keep the control housing dry. For a verified depth rating on your exact machine, call us and we will confirm before you hunt water.
History Seekers is a small American business and an authorized First Texas dealer (Fisher, Teknetics and Bounty Hunter are one El Paso company). Everyone here detects, top down, for coins, relics, jewelry and gold, and prior field experience is a hiring requirement, not a coincidence. The person who answers your fitment question may be the one who packs the coil and drives it to the UPS drop. The story is more important than the artifact.
