The Minelab WM 09 Wireless Headphone Module puts those exact headphones on a low latency wireless connection to your detector, so the audio you already know arrives without the snag of a cord across your swing.

Why the WM 09, and who actually needs it
Here is the answer most listings never give you: if you own the Minelab ML 85 or ML 105 wireless headphones, you do not need this module. Those pair directly with the detector. The WM 09 exists for a different detectorist: the one with a preferred set of wired headphones. Clip the module on, plug your 3.5 mm (1/8 in) headphones into its threaded socket, and they run wirelessly from the detector. Quarter-inch headphones work through Minelab's 1/8 in to 1/4 in adaptor cable (part 3011-0369, sold separately).
Compatibility, stated exactly
Minelab lists the WM 09 as compatible with the Manticore, Equinox 700, Equinox 900, X-Terra Elite and X-Terra Pro. It is not compatible with the Equinox 600 or 800; those earlier detectors use the WM 08 module instead. If you are unsure which Equinox you have, the model number is printed below the screen.

Do I need the WM 09 to use Minelab wireless headphones? No. The ML 85 and ML 105 pair directly with these detectors. The WM 09 is for running wired headphones wirelessly.
Does it work with the Equinox 600 or 800? No. The Equinox 600 and 800 use Minelab's WM 08 module. The WM 09 covers the Manticore, Equinox 700/900 and X-Terra Pro/Elite generation.
Is the WM 09 waterproof? Minelab does not publish a waterproof rating for it, so do not submerge it. For rain and shallow-water hunts, these detectors are themselves waterproof; many hunters plug Minelab waterproof wired headphones straight into the detector instead.
