Every Legend owner meets the same wall: a good site that is simply too trashy or too tight for the stock coil. This 6 in / 15 cm coil is the one that pulls the keepers out from between the junk.
Nails, foil, and bottle caps crowd the coins and the jewelry, a big coil blends them into one smeared signal, and you walk off wondering what stayed in the ground. The LG15 is Nokta's answer to exactly that. At 6 in / 15 cm it is the smallest coil in the Legend lineup, and that small footprint is the whole point: it concentrates the detector's field into a hot, precise zone that separates targets a wider coil masks, and it slips into spots the bigger coils cannot reach.
Why the LG15 and not a bigger coil
The LG30 12 in x 9 in / 30 x 23 cm is the balanced all-rounder and the LG28 11 in / 28 cm and LG35 13.5 in x 12.5 in / 35 x 31.5 cm cover open ground, but none of them will do what the 6 in / 15 cm does in the trash. Reach for the LG15 when the ground is full of iron, when you are gridding tight around foundations, fence lines, and tree roots, or when you want to pinpoint and lift a small coin or a bit of gold jewelry cleanly. It is the finesse tool in your bag, and it is the size most detectorists reach for first when they suspect a hammered site still holds finds the stock coil swung over. The LG15 already ships in the Legend Pro Pack for this reason; if your Legend came without it, this is the coil that changes what comes out of a trashy site.
It is a Double-D (DD) coil, the configuration that gives the Legend its stable target ID and clean separation on mineralized, iron-laden ground. It is fully waterproof; the coil does not set the depth limit, the detector does, and the Nokta Legend is a fully waterproof machine rated to 16 ft / 5 m (IP68), so even this small coil is a genuine option for wet sand and shallow water.
Compatibility, stated straight: the LG15 is matched to the original Nokta Legend. The LD coils for the newer Nokta Legend 2 are a separate, re-engineered set, so if you run a Legend 2 this is not your coil, and Nokta's own manual warns owners of more than one detector to be sure they have not fitted the wrong coil by mistake. Buy the coil matched to your machine, and call us first if you are not certain which Legend you own.
