The Nokta The Legend Pro Pack is the two-coil, spare-battery version of Nokta's first simultaneous multi-frequency detector, and it is the configuration built for people who hunt more than one kind of site. If you have been choosing between a coil for open ground and a coil for iron-choked trash, this pack ends that compromise: it ships with both, plus a waterproof spare battery so a dead cell never ends a hunt.
Why the Pro Pack, and why The Legend
The Nokta Legend metal detector runs simultaneous multi-frequency (SMF) with selectable single frequencies from 4 to 40 kHz, so target IDs stay honest as the ground changes from a dry park to a wet salt beach. It is IP68 waterproof to 16 ft (5 m) with the whole detector, not just the coil. The Pro Pack is the top configuration: where the base and WHP packages ship one coil, the Pro Pack adds the LG15 6 in (15 cm) coil and a waterproof replaceable spare battery and charger in the box.
Two search coils, two jobs
The LG30 12 in x 9 in (30 x 23 cm) Double-D coil covers ground fast and reaches deep on open sites. The LG15 6 in (15 cm) Double-D coil separates targets in nail beds and trashy relic sites where a big coil stacks signals into one. Both are waterproof, both ship with covers, and swapping takes seconds.

The machine keeps getting better after you buy it
The Legend is field-updatable over USB, and Nokta has a real track record of free updates. Beast mode, Deep Target Identification (dt), Bottle Cap Rejection, and the Ground Suppressor were all added by free firmware after launch, not features you paid extra for. The latest version (V1.17, October 2024) sharpened Pinpoint, Beach mode, and small-gold separation. That is a genuine "the detector you own improves over time" story, at no cost.
The Legend or the Legend 2?
They are different machines, not two names for one. The original Nokta Legend (this pack) carries a 01-60 target ID scale, five modes including Beast, and the Gold Field gold mode. The newer Nokta Legend 2 steps the ID scale to 99, trims weight to 2.6 lb (1.2 kg), and swaps Beast for a Relic mode. If deep-seeking Beast mode and the two-coil Pro Pack value appeal to you, the original Legend is the buy; if you want the finer 99-point ID and the lighter build, step up to the Legend 2.
Does The Legend find gold?
Gold jewelry, readily, and it carries a dedicated Gold Field mode plus a 40 kHz single frequency tuned for small gold in mineralized ground, so it is a genuine crossover prospector, not just a coin machine. What it is not is a dedicated deep-nugget unit: hot goldfields at depth belong to a pulse-induction machine. When nugget hunting becomes the mission, Nokta's own Magnetar 9000 pulse-induction detector is the deep-gold machine to step up to.
