When the site is a wide-open field and the targets you are after are the deep ones the crowd has walked over, a stock coil leaves finds in the ground. The LG35 is the coil that reaches them and clears the ground faster while it does.
The LG35 is the largest coil in the Legend lineup at 13.5 in x 12.5 in / 35 x 31.5 cm, and that size is the whole purpose: the big loop pushes the detector's field deeper than any other Legend coil and sweeps the widest path, so you cover open ground in fewer passes and reach targets a smaller coil never saw. It is the coil for pastures, plowed fields, beaches, and old sites that have been hunted hard near the surface but still hold depth.
Why the LG35, and when to add it to your kit
Think of the Legend coils as a set you build. The LG30 12 in x 9 in / 30 x 23 cm ships as the all-rounder and the LG28 11 in / 28 cm is the mid coverage coil; the LG35 is the one you add when depth and ground coverage matter more than anything else. Choose the LG35 over the LG28 when the ground is genuinely open and you want the deepest, widest coil the Legend offers, and accept that a coil this size is a specialist tool, not the one you thread through nail beds. Most competitor listings just list the dimensions; the honest answer is that the LG35 is the depth-and-coverage coil, and on the right open site it finds what the stock coil left behind.
It is a Double-D (DD) coil, which keeps target ID stable and ground handling clean even at this size. It is fully waterproof; the coil does not set the depth limit, the detector does, and the Nokta Legend is a fully waterproof machine rated to 16 ft / 5 m (IP68), so even this big coil is a genuine option for the wet stretches of a beach hunt.
Compatibility, stated straight: the LG35 is matched to the original Nokta Legend. The LD coils for the newer Nokta Legend 2 are a separate, re-engineered set, so if you run a Legend 2 this is not your coil, and Nokta's own manual warns owners of more than one detector to be sure they have not fitted the wrong coil by mistake. Buy the coil matched to your machine, and call us first if you are unsure which Legend you own.
