When the site is a wide-open field and the targets you are after are the deep ones the crowd has walked over, a stock coil leaves finds in the ground. The SX35 is the coil that reaches them and clears the ground faster while it does. It does not come in any Simplex box, which is exactly why it is worth adding: it is the reach the stock coils do not have.
The SX35 is the largest coil in the Simplex lineup at 13.5 in x 12.5 in / 35 x 31.5 cm, and that size is the whole purpose: the big loop pushes the detector's field deeper than the 11 in / 28 cm coil and sweeps the widest path, so you cover open ground in fewer passes and reach targets a smaller coil never saw. It is the coil for pastures, plowed fields, beaches, and old sites that have been hunted hard near the surface but still hold depth.
Why the SX35, and which Simplex it is for
Think of the three Simplex coils as a set. The SX24 9.5 in x 6 in / 24 x 15 cm is the trash and tight-ground coil and the SX28 11 in / 28 cm is the all-rounder; the SX35 is the one you add when depth and ground coverage matter more than anything else. It is the only Simplex coil that never ships in a box, so it is always a deliberate upgrade for either the Simplex Ultra or the Simplex Lite. Accept that a coil this size is a specialist tool, not the one you thread through nail beds, and it will find what the stock coils left behind on the right open site. Most competitor listings just list the dimensions; the honest answer is that the SX35 is the depth-and-coverage coil for the Simplex.
It is a Double-D (DD) coil, which keeps target ID stable and ground handling clean even at this size. It is fully waterproof; the coil does not set the depth limit, the detector does, and both the Simplex Ultra and Simplex Lite are IP68 machines submersible to 16 ft / 5 m, so even this big coil is a genuine option for the wet stretches of a beach hunt.
Compatibility, stated straight: the SX35 is matched to the current Nokta Simplex line, so it fits both the Simplex Ultra and the Simplex Lite.
