Nokta Legend vs Legend 2 Compared
The short answer: these are two different machines, not a version bump. The Legend 2 is the newer, lighter platform with a 99-point Target ID scale, 15 user profiles, a bigger battery, and Bluetooth aptX headphones in the box. The original Legend Pro Pack answers with its own weapon: Beast mode, a maximum-depth power mode the Legend 2 does not have, plus two coils and a spare waterproof battery in the factory box. Both run Nokta's simultaneous multi-frequency, both are fully submersible to 16 ft / 5 m, and both carry the 3-year Nokta warranty.
The one mistake to avoid: their coils do not interchange. The original Legend uses LG-series coils; the Legend 2 uses LD-series coils. Buy coils for the machine you own.

Which one do you need?
Choose the Legend 2 when you want the current platform: the finer 99-point ID scale reads trashy ground with more nuance, 15 profiles hold a setup for every site you hunt, it swings almost half a pound lighter, and the bigger battery plus included wireless headphones make it complete out of the box. This is the machine we recommend to most buyers walking into the family today.
Choose the original Legend Pro Pack when depth is the mission or value is the deciding factor. Beast mode exists to pull deep coins and large targets out of ground the standard modes have already balanced away, and nothing on the Legend 2 replaces it. The Pro Pack also ships with two coils AND a spare waterproof battery, a working-kit configuration Nokta never built for the Legend 2.
