The 22.5 cm (9 in) round X35 is the XP Deus coil most Deus kits were built around, and it is still the size that does the most jobs well: light on the arm, precise in trash, honest at depth, and quick to separate a button from a bottle cap on ground that punishes bigger coils.

Why the 9 in X35 and not a bigger coil
Every XP X35 coil runs the same engine: 5 main frequencies (4, 8, 12, 18 and 28 kHz) with 7 offset shifts each, 35 frequencies in total from 3.7 to 27.7 kHz. What changes between sizes is physics, not features. At 22.5 cm (9 in) and 370 g (13.1 oz), this is the control coil of the trio: the tightest target separation in iron-littered homesites and camps, the easiest coil to thread between roots and rubble, and the natural replacement or dedicated spare for the coil your Deus came with. If your fields are open and your targets deep, step up to the 28 cm (11 in) X35 or the 34x28 cm (13x11 in) X35; if tiny nonferrous and fine gold are the goal, the XP HF coil pair, XP's dedicated high frequency coil line, reaches 54 and 74 kHz. This size is the one you reach for when the site is tight and the trash is real.

Compatibility, stated plainly
This coil fits the original XP Deus and the XP ORX. XP even sells the ORX with this exact coil as the factory XP ORX coil in its 9 in X35 pack, and the DEUS Lite ships with it as standard. It is not compatible with the XP Deus II or Icon: those machines use FMF coils only, like the 9 in FMF. Most dealers leave you to find that out at checkout. We would rather tell you before you buy.
