Are these the WS6 ST stereo headphones?
No. This closeout package includes the original non-stereo WS6. It has its own screen and controls and works as a wireless backphone and backup controller, but XP's V4 Stereo Multi-Processing and Dual Axis mode require the WS6 ST stereo headset, sold in our WS6 ST packages.
Is this package discontinued?
This is the final production run of the RC plus WS6 bundle: XP is not making the original WS6 packages again, and the 9 in and 11 in versions are already sold out industry wide. The DEUS II platform itself continues. Warranty and support are unchanged: 5 years from XP.
Can the WS6 control the detector without the remote?
Yes. The WS6 has a screen and controls and can run the search coil on its own, so you carry a backup controller. With the RC also in the box you get the full menu experience and the backphone.
Is it waterproof?
The remote and search coil are IP68 rated and submersible to 20 m (66 ft). The WS6 headphones are for dry land: rain is fine, submersion is not.
Does it come with a charger?
Yes. A US charger and English manual are included, along with the S-telescopic stem and coil cover.
What coil sizes can I add later?
The RC accepts the XP FMF coils: 9 in (22.5 cm), 11 in (28 cm), and this 13x11 in (34x28 cm), plus the HF2 elliptical. We stock the coils separately.
