Description

Some permissions are measured in acres, not corners. When the field runs to the tree line and the targets run deep, coil size is the whole argument. This is the DEUS II with the biggest sweep in the FMF family, and headphones that are a complete second controller, so the machine covers more and never quits.

Why This Package

This is the full-boat DEUS II with the 13x11 in / 34x28 cm elliptical FMF search coil: the widest path and the deepest reach on large targets in the DEUS II line. Big farm fields, wide beach flats, and battlefield acreage go faster when every swing covers more ground, and deep-settled targets like artillery fragments and cache-sized iron come into range. FMF Fast Multi Frequency runs 4 to 45 kHz simultaneously (49 single frequencies when you want to lock one in). The WS6 ST headset earns the "stereo" in its name with XP's V4 stereo audio firmware, and its master mode means it can run the entire detector by itself: coil control, settings, target ID on its own screen. Buy one detector, own a backup controller.

Stereo Changes the Hunt: Do Not Buy the Discontinued Version by Accident

Shopping the DEUS II line right now, you will see lower-priced packages at many dealers. Look closely: most of those still include the previous generation non-stereo WS6 or WSA II headphones. Those packages are discontinued, and they cannot do what this one does. XP's V4 firmware gives ST stereo headsets Stereo Multi-Processing: two fully independent detection channels running at the same time. Run two different Reactivity settings at once, one in each ear, deep-and-slow in one channel and fast target separation in the other. In XP's own words, it eliminates the compromise between depth and target separation. In field terms, it is like covering the same ground twice with one swing. The older headphones will never run these features; XP built V4 for the ST generation. At this level of the hobby, buy the current machine once instead of the discontinued one twice.

⚠ WEAR BOTH EARBUDS OR HEADPHONE CUPS. These stereo features send two completely independent audio channels, one to each ear. Through a speaker or a single earbud you will not hear the difference at all. Stereo headphones in both ears are required to hear what these videos demonstrate.

Dual Axis mode (Firmware 4.1): the deepest-reaching combination in the DEUS II family. One ear runs your discrimination program while the other runs a non-motion all-metal channel with a wider detection footprint that hears large, deep targets standard motion programs miss entirely. Stack that channel on the biggest coil in the FMF line and deep cache-sized iron, artillery fragments, and targets below everyone else's reach come into play. The audio envelope even lets you judge a target's size and shape before you dig, and with autotune off, the non-motion channel traces the outline of buried structures in ruins and rocky ground without cycling into pinpoint mode.

Multi-Processing and Audio Morphing (Firmware V4). Dual Reactivity runs a fast, trash-separating profile in one ear and a deep, slow profile in the other. Audio Morphing shifts the tone character as the search coil closes in on a target, so you read depth and proximity by ear without looking at the screen.

Working tight, trash-choked ground instead? See the 9 in sibling. Want the balance of coverage and precision? See the 11 in sibling. Chasing small gold or coins on edge? See the DEUS II Gold. For extreme-depth artillery and cache work beyond any conventional coil, see the Xtrem Hunter.

Weight transparency: XP does not publish an assembled weight for this configuration. Ours is calculated: XP lists this coil at 570 g / 20.1 oz, and we verified the remote and stem assembly at about 650 g by weighing two other DEUS II configurations on our own scale. Total: approximately 2.69 lb / 1,220 g.

Compatibility

  • Search coils: 13x11 in / 34x28 cm FMF (included), 9 in / 22.5 cm FMF, 11 in / 28 cm FMF, HF2 elliptical 9.5 x 5 in / 24 x 13 cm. All pair wirelessly.
  • Audio/control: WS6 ST (included) doubles as a master controller; also compatible with WSA-ST, WSA-XL ST, WSA II, WSA II-XL.
  • Accessories: XP MI-6 pinpointer pairs directly.
  • Firmware: free XP updates; keep headset firmware matched to the remote. V4 and V4.1 stereo features require an ST headset like the one in this package.

Who It's For

The acreage hunter. Big farm fields and pasture permissions, wide-open beach flats, battlefield ground measured in football fields. If your sites are tight and trash-choked, the 9 in sibling is the precision pick; for balanced depth and coverage the 11 in splits the difference; for small gold and coins on edge, the DEUS II Gold. This package is the maximum-coverage flagship.
