What Fits the XP Deus II: Coils, Audio, Dive Gear & Accessories
The short answer: the XP Deus II takes FMF search coils only (9 in / 22.5 cm, 11 in / 28 cm, 13x11 in / 34x28 cm, and the HF2 elliptical), pairs with XP's ST-series wireless headphones (WS6 ST, WSA ST, WSA XL ST) and the BH-01 bone-conduction set for diving, and works with the MI-6 pinpointer, which pairs directly with the Deus II remote. Everything on this page fits the Deus II, every link is a product we stock, and if you are unsure about anything, call 256-284-2247 and ask.
The one mistake to avoid: XP's X35 and HF coils are for the original Deus and the ORX. They do NOT fit or work on the Deus II. The Deus II uses FMF coils only. If a listing anywhere does not say FMF or HF2, it is not a Deus II coil.
Search coils for the Deus II
All four FMF coils are fully waterproof and carry their own battery.
- XP 9 in / 22.5 cm FMF coil: the separation pick for trashy parks and iron-heavy sites.
- XP 11 in / 28 cm FMF coil: the all-rounder for coverage and depth.
- XP 13x11 in / 34x28 cm FMF coil: maximum ground coverage for fields and open beach.
- XP HF2 elliptical high-frequency coil: the small-gold and micro-target specialist, the coil the Deus II Gold package ships with.
Wireless audio for the Deus II
The Deus II pairs with XP's ST-series wireless headphones. Each has a different job:
- WS6 ST headphones with control unit: the removable module carries a screen and nearly all remote controls, so it can run the detector as the master in place of the remote.
- WSA ST headphones: the lightest of the family, and they also pair with XP's other current remotes.
- WSA XL ST over-ear headphones: full over-ear comfort for long sessions.
- BH-01 bone-conduction headphones: waterproof to 65 ft / 20 m, the diving audio solution.
Fit note: the WS6 ST and WSA ST are rainproof, not submersible, and the WSA XL ST handles 3 ft / 1 m. For real underwater hunting, use the BH-01 or a wired setup from the dive section below.
