Why the 10 in Double-D elliptical coil
An elliptical shape widens the sweep line so you clear more ground with every pass, which matters on plowed fields, pastures and beaches where the finds are spread out. The Double-D winding overlaps two D-shaped coils to reject ground mineralization and electrical interference, so it runs smooth where a concentric coil would false, and it holds depth better than a small coil. On the F75, F70 and F19 this is the do-most-of-your-hunting coverage coil, and it pairs naturally with the 5 inch for the trashy corners it skims over. Step up to the 11 or 12 inch Double-D when you want the deepest reach.
