Description
Iron-choked ground and gram-weight gold have the same answer: a thinner, hotter coil. The XP HF Elliptical is the specialist of the XP Deus coil family, a 24x13 cm (9.5x5 in) blade that slips between nails and bedrock cracks and carries the family's highest band, a 74 kHz main that reaches 81 kHz shifted.
At a glance: The XP HF Elliptical coil, reference DELLHF, is a 24x13 cm (9.5x5 in) high frequency coil for the original XP Deus and the XP ORX. Three mains at 14, 28 and 74 kHz with offsets give 21 frequencies from 13 to 81 kHz. The lightest coil in the family at 330 g (11.6 oz), waterproof to 6 m (20 ft).
Why the elliptical earns the tight sites
Frequency first: no other coil for these machines goes higher. The 74 kHz main (68 to 81 kHz with offsets) is the band fine gold, tiny hammered fragments and thread-thin jewelry actually answer on, and it is a full band above the 54 kHz top of the round 9 in XP HF coil. Shape second: the narrow 13 cm (5 in) nose sees fewer targets at once, so in nail beds, burned homesites and trashy ghost-town ground it unmasks the good target sitting a hand-width from iron that makes a wide coil scream. Weight third: at 330 g (11.6 oz) this is the lightest coil in the whole XP Deus and ORX lineup, lighter even than its 350 g round sibling, so the fast, short sweeps that tight sites demand cost you nothing. Some dealers copy the round coil's 350 g onto this page; XP's own figure for the elliptical is 330 g, and details like that are why we fetch our specs from the source. One naming trap, one sentence: XP's HF2 is a different coil for the Deus II, so Deus II owners want our HF2 Elliptical, not this one.

Compatibility, stated plainly
This coil fits the original XP Deus and the XP ORX. It is a factory XP ORX coil too: XP's ORX HF Elliptical pack ships with this exact coil for gold work. It is not compatible with the XP Deus II or Icon: those machines use FMF coils only. For general-purpose hunting on the same machines, the XP X35 coil trio covers 35 frequencies from 3.7 to 27.7 kHz; this elliptical is the specialist you add when the ground is hot, tight or auriferous.
Who it is for
Gold prospectors chasing sub-gram nuggets and pickers in mineralized ground, relic hunters unmasking targets in serious iron, and Deus or ORX owners who hunt sites where a wide coil hears everything and identifies nothing. It will find gold jewelry anywhere; for small natural gold on these machines, this is the top tool XP makes.
What is included
HF Elliptical 24x13 cm (9.5x5 in) coil, coil cover, fixing kit and lower stem.
History Seekers is a small American business and an authorized XP dealer. Everyone here detects, top down, for gold, relics, coins and jewelry; field experience is a hiring requirement, not a coincidence. The person talking you through frequency choices may be the one packing your coil for the UPS run. We stock the specialist tools because we use them, and the story is more important than the artifact.
