What Fits the Minelab GPZ 7000: GPZ 14 Coil, Skidplate, Wear Kits & Charging
The short answer: the Minelab GPZ 7000 takes the GPZ 14 Super-D coil, 14 in / 36 cm, and the genuine wear parts around it are the GPZ 7000 14 in / 36 cm skidplate and the two coil wear kits. Charging runs through the BC 10 battery charger base and Minelab's adaptors, chargers, and cables kit. The one mistake to avoid: GPZ 7000 coils and GPZ 8000 coils do not cross. The GPZ 8000 runs Minelab's Z-Set coils (Z18, Z17, Z13) and its manual lists those alone; the GPZ 14 is a GPZ 7000 coil and is not listed for the 8000. In the other direction, no Z-Set coil is listed for the GPZ 7000. The GPX 6000's GPX 11, 14, and 17 coils and the Coiltek Gold Hawk line are GPX 6000 parts and do not fit here either.
Search coils for the GPZ 7000
- Minelab GPZ 14 Super-D 14 in / 36 cm coil, with skidplate: the GPZ 7000's standard coil, the spare, and the replacement when the original has scrubbed its last hundred hours of quartz and ironstone.
Fit note: the GPZ 7000's Super-D coil is a different technology from a Double-D or a monoloop, and the detector is matched to it. That is why the coil choice on this machine is a size question, not a type question.
Skidplates and coil wear parts
