Why this charger
Serious gold detecting is travel: the machine that hunts Arizona in March might be in Western Australia in September. This plug pack is Minelab's answer to charging on the road, one charger body with a snap-on head for whichever country the gold is in, and it covers four machines, so a Gold Monster and a GPX 6000 in the same truck share one charger. The Gold Monster 2000 uses the same battery packs and chargers as the Gold Monster 1000, so a 1000 owner who steps up keeps this charger in service. It is also simply the factory replacement when the original stays behind in a motel socket, which is how most of these get sold.
