Description
This is the X-Terra with nothing left on the shopping list. The factory bundle 3707-1016, which Minelab catalogs as the X-Terra Elite Expedition Pack Ultimate Bundle, packs the two-coil Expedition Pack, the PRO-FIND 40 waterproof pinpointer, the Adventure Pack recovery kit, and the Minelab backpack into a single box - the complete loadout, every piece Minelab-built, one part number.
At a glance
This factory Minelab bundle (part 3707-1016) is the complete X-Terra system: the Expedition Pack with two coils (V12X 12x9 in / 30x23 cm and V8X 8x5 in / 20x13 cm) and ML-85 wireless headphones, plus the PRO-FIND 40 waterproof pinpointer, the Adventure Pack (Minelab digger, finds pouch, gloves), and the Minelab backpack. Multi-IQ, IP68 waterproof to 16 ft (5 m), 3-year Minelab warranty on the detector. History Seekers Metal Detectors is an authorized Minelab dealer; every X-Terra Elite Expedition Pack Ultimate Bundle we sell is new, sourced through Minelab's authorized US distributor, and carries the full 3-year Minelab warranty on the X-Terra Elite (coil and control box), with Minelab's 2-year warranty on the PRO-FIND 40.
Why the complete loadout beats piecing it together
Search results are full of dealer-assembled "starter kits": a detector plus a generic digger and a no-name pouch, priced by whoever stapled the box together. This is the opposite - Minelab packs it in the factory, so the digger on your belt, the gloves on your hands, and the pinpointer in the hole all carry the same standard as the machine. Two coils answer any ground, the PRO-FIND 40 answers every hole, and the whole kit travels in one purpose-built pack under one warranty conversation.
Some dealers list this same part number as a "holiday bundle" or a "limited-time" kit and stop at the contents list. The contents are the point, but they are not the whole story. Compared with the Expedition Pack on its own, this bundle adds three things you would otherwise buy at three more checkouts: the PRO-FIND 40 (waterproof to 10 ft / 3 m, with Ferrous Tone ID so it grunts differently on a nail than on a coin, five sensitivity levels, an LED flashlight and vibration), the Adventure Pack recovery tools, and the backpack that carries all of it to the site. The detector underneath is the same Multi-IQ X-Terra Elite in every version of the pack, so the only decision left is how much of the recovery kit you already own.
Technical specs and what they do in the field
| Multi-IQ simultaneous multi-frequency | The same core technology as Minelab's Equinox series: a gold ring and a deep silver coin read clearly on the same swing, even on wet salt sand. Park and Field modes run Multi-IQ or a single 15 kHz; Beach runs Multi-IQ. |
| TWO coils: V12X 12x9 in (30x23 cm) + V8X 8x5 in (20x13 cm) | The big coil covers open ground with depth; the small one threads targets out of trashy, iron-heavy sites. The "which coil do I need" question is answered: both. |
| IP68, waterproof to 16 ft (5 m) | Surf line, creeks, and rained-out fields are all fair game. |
| 119 Target ID segments, 30 discrimination segments, adjustable Iron Bias | Dig good targets, skip the junk. Park, Field and Beach modes each hold two custom profiles, so a trashy park and a clean field keep their own settings. |
| 2.9 lb (1.3 kg); collapses to 25 in (63 cm) | Light on the arm, short in the pack. |
| Internal 3.7 V / 5100 mAh lithium-ion battery, USB charging | No alkalines to buy or swap; charge it from the same cable that carries software updates. |
| ML-85 low-latency wireless headphones included | No cable to snag, no lag between signal and your ears. |
| Flashlight, red backlit display and keypad, handgrip vibration | The hunt does not end at sundown. |
| PRO-FIND 40 waterproof pinpointer (bundle exclusive) | In-hole recovery in seconds. Waterproof to 10 ft (3 m), Ferrous Tone ID, five sensitivity levels, LED flashlight, vibration, and DIF so it does not talk to the detector once it is switched off. Holster and lanyard included. |
| Adventure Pack: digger, finds pouch, gloves (bundle exclusive) | Minelab-built recovery tools - no generic dealer-kit filler. |
| Minelab detecting backpack (bundle exclusive) | The whole loadout, one carry. |
| Warranty | 3-year Minelab warranty on the X-Terra Elite (coil and control box); 2-year Minelab warranty on the PRO-FIND 40. Backed by an authorized dealer. |

Minelab offers a 15% military discount on Minelab detectors (accessories excluded), and this bundle is built on the X-Terra Elite. Contact us directly at 256-284-2247 for details and to order with the discount. Not combinable with other promotions or discounts.
Which X-Terra bundle is right for you?
This complete loadout is the everything pick. If your tool belt is already stocked, the X-Terra Elite Expedition Bundle with PRO-FIND 40 and backpack (part 3707-1014) drops the Adventure Pack and keeps the pinpointer. If you only want the two-coil detector and headphones, the X-Terra Elite Expedition Pack is the same machine without the recovery kit, and the X-Terra Elite on its own comes with the V12X coil only. Every coil, headphone and accessory that fits the whole line is on our X-Terra Pro and Elite accessories page.
Who it is for
First-serious-detector buyers and gift shoppers who want one decision, one box, and a first hunt that starts at the truck instead of at three more checkouts.
Honest limits: the X-Terra Elite runs Park, Field and Beach modes with no dedicated goldfield setting, so nugget prospecting is not what this kit is built for. The ML-85 headphones are for land use; underwater audio needs wired waterproof headphones. The PRO-FIND 40 is rated to 10 ft (3 m), not the detector's 16 ft (5 m).
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a real Minelab bundle or a dealer kit?
A factory Minelab bundle with its own Minelab part number, 3707-1016, and its own UPC; Minelab lists it as the X-Terra Elite Expedition Pack Ultimate Bundle. Most bundles online are dealer-assembled kits with third-party accessories; this one is packed by Minelab with manufacturer-set pricing, so every component is genuine Minelab under one warranty conversation.
What does this bundle add over the X-Terra Elite Expedition Pack, and how is it different from the 3707-1014 bundle?
The Expedition Pack is the X-Terra Elite with the V12X and V8X coils and ML-85 wireless headphones. This bundle (3707-1016) adds the PRO-FIND 40 pinpointer, the Adventure Pack (digger with sheath, finds pouch, gloves) and the Minelab backpack. The 3707-1014 bundle adds the PRO-FIND 40 and the backpack but not the Adventure Pack. If you already own a digger and pouch, choose 3707-1014; if you are starting from nothing, choose this one.
What is in the Minelab Adventure Pack?
Minelab's recovery accessory kit: a heavy-duty Minelab digger with sheath, a finds pouch, and detecting gloves.
Is the X-Terra Elite waterproof?
Yes. IP68 rated and submersible to 16 ft (5 m), and both included coils are waterproof. The ML-85 wireless headphones are for land use. The PRO-FIND 40 pinpointer is waterproof to 10 ft (3 m).
Is this X-Terra Elite Expedition bundle enough to start finding gold?
For the gold most people actually find, yes. Lost rings and jewelry are the realistic first gold of nearly every detectorist, and this bundle covers that hunt completely: the waterproof X-Terra Elite to detect gold targets in parks, fields, and surf, the PRO-FIND 40 to pinpoint them fast, and the Adventure Pack and backpack to keep you hunting longer and farther. Nugget prospecting is the one gold pursuit it is not built for, since the Elite runs Park, Field, and Beach modes with no goldfield setting. When that itch arrives, the Minelab Equinox 900 and Gold Monster 2000 are the next rungs.
Does this bundle qualify for a military discount?
Yes. Minelab offers a 15% military discount on Minelab detectors (accessories excluded). Contact us directly at 256-284-2247 for details. It cannot be combined with other promotions or discounts.
