Why the WS6 ST is the one that runs the show
The three ST stereo headphones share the same audio platform; what you pay for in the WS6 ST is control. It runs three ways: as a headset paired to your DEUS II remote, as the MASTER driving a WSA ST or WSA XL ST, or completely alone, clipped to the backphones with the coil as your whole detector. The module unclips and mounts on the stem when you want the screen in front of you. It also connects to the MI-6 pinpointer over XP's patented radio protocol.
V4 stereo: the update that made these headphones mandatory
XP's free DEUS II V4.0 software (released June 5, 2026) works exclusively with the ST stereo headsets, and it is a genuine change in how the machine hunts: Stereo Multi-Processing runs "two fully independent detection channels" at once, Multi-Reactivity runs two Reactivity settings simultaneously so you stop trading depth for separation, and Audio Morphing transforms the tone as you close on a target. Older non-stereo XP headphones cannot run V4.0 at all. If you want what V4 does, an ST headset is the ticket, and this is the flagship.
