The short answer: the Minelab CTX 3030 runs on its own Li-ion battery pack and an 8 x AA battery holder, charged through the BC 10 battery charger base and Minelab's adaptors, chargers, and cables kit. For underwater audio there is a Gray Ghost Amphibian II wired for the CTX, and the CTX 3030 Handbook is the reference the machine deserves. Everything on this page fits the CTX 3030, every link is a product we carry, and if you are unsure, call 256-284-2247 and ask.

The one mistake to avoid: the CTX 3030's power parts are its own. The BC 10 charger base is shared with the GPZ 7000, but the battery pack (part 3011-0299) and the AA holder (part 3011-0300) are CTX parts, and the Equinox, Manticore, and Vanquish batteries and magnetic cables do not fit. Coils are the same story: the CTX takes its own coil family, not the EQX, V-series, or M-series coils built for Minelab's newer machines.

The CTX 3030 ships with the 11 in / 28 cm Double-D coil, and Minelab's other CTX coils are not on our shelves yet. We are an authorized Minelab dealer and can order them, so call 256-284-2247 with the size you want.

Don't own the CTX 3030 yet?

The Minelab CTX 3030 is here. Minelab's dedicated surf machine, the Excalibur II, has its own fitment page, and the current flagship for land and water is covered on the Manticore page. A machine at this level is exactly the purchase to call about first: 256-284-2247.

Not sure what fits your setup?

Call us at 256-284-2247. We hunt with Minelab machines ourselves, land and surf, and matching a battery or a charger to your CTX 3030 is a two-minute conversation. The story is more important than the artifact.
