This coil uses the First Texas screw-in connector that the Fisher F-series and the Gold Bug, Gold Bug Pro and Gold Bug DP share. It does not fit the Gold Bug 2, which has its own dedicated connector, or the plug-in Teknetics EuroTek and Digitek. Why the 10 in Double-D coil
The 10 inch Double-D is the coil most Gold Bug hunters leave on. It reaches deeper and covers more ground than the 5 inch, so you can work a patch or a field efficiently, and the Double-D winding rejects mineralization to stay stable on hot goldfield soil and hot rocks. It still holds good sensitivity to nugget-sized targets while adding the depth the small coil trades away. Drop to the 5 inch for the tiniest gold and the trashiest, tightest ground; step up to the 11 inch for maximum coverage and depth.
