The short answer: the Fisher Gold Bug 2 takes three coils, all Gold Bug 2 elliptical coils: 6.5 in / 17 cm, 10 in / 25 cm, and 14 in / 36 cm. Audio is wired through Fisher's own stereo headphones, and the F-Pulse is the pulse-induction pinpointer that stays quiet on the black-sand ground this machine lives on. The one mistake to avoid: the Gold Bug 2 and the Gold Bug and Gold Bug Pro are different machines with different coils. The screw-in Double-D coils sold for the Gold Bug, Gold Bug Pro, and F-series do not fit the Gold Bug 2, and the Gold Bug 2's elliptical coils fit nothing else. If a coil listing does not say Gold Bug 2, it is not your coil.
