Why the CS-3 over the MS-3
Same Z-Lynk speed, two different bodies. The MS-3 is the isolation headphone: full cups, more mass, best in wind and crowds. The CS-3 is the endurance headphone: roughly a third of a pound on your head, fold-flat cups that disappear into a finds pouch, and USB-C charging - the connector the rest of your kit already uses. Most dealers list both without telling you how to choose; now you can. Either way the audio arrives six times faster than Bluetooth by Garrett's measurement, so the beep is still under your search coil when you hear it.
Pairs out of the box with
Garrett's Z-Lynk-equipped machines - Vortex (VX5, VX7, VX9), AT Max, ACE Apex, Axiom, Axiom Lite - and the Pro-Pointer AT Z-Lynk pinpointer, so detector and pinpointer both talk to the same headphones. Older or non-Z-Lynk detectors connect through the optional WT-1 transmitter (see the MS-3 Kit for the transmitter bundle).
