Why this bundle and not one of the other five
Of our six DEUS II WSA-series configurations, this one optimizes for miles. The 13x11 in (34x28 cm) elliptical coil covers the widest strip per sweep and reaches deepest on larger conductive targets, the classic pick for field relics and beach work. The WSA ST completes the logic: when you are five hours into a pasture in August, 72 g (2.5 oz) on your ears instead of over-ear cups is not a small thing, and you give up no capability, the same zero-latency XP link, about 15 hours of runtime, a 4-band equalizer set from the remote, and full Multi-Process support. Prefer isolation against coastal wind? The same coil pairs with the over-ear cups in our 13x11 in WSA XL ST bundle. Hunting trashy town lots instead? Multi-Process: two detectors in your ears
ST-generation headphones are the key that turns on Multi-Process, added in firmware V4.0: two simultaneous audio processing channels, a low-reactivity channel for deep targets and a high-reactivity channel for small finds near iron, blended with Audio Morphing and Chorus FX, with factory presets including DUAL AXIS. With a big coil swallowing wide ground each sweep, a second listening channel is cheap insurance against walking over the best target of the day. Waterproof, stated honestly
Coil and remote control are IP68 rated to 20 m (66 ft), with an optional antenna required when the coil is fully submerged. The WSA ST headphones are rainproof, not submersible; rain and spray are fine, dunking is not. Divers pair the detector with XP's wired BH-01 bone conduction headphones, rated to the same 20 m (66 ft). That distinction belongs on the product page, so here it is.
Who it is for
Field-relic hunters with permissions measured in acres, beach hunters who walk the tide instead of camping one cut, and warm-climate detectorists who want maximum coverage with minimum wearable weight. In dense iron, downsize the coil, not the ambition. Serious gold prospectors should look at the DEUS II Gold package, whose HF2 elliptical search coil runs 9 to 120 kHz.
