Description
A flagship detector should not come with an audio afterthought, or an audio tax. Plenty of hunters want the XP DEUS II with real wireless headphones but not over-ear cans in July heat, and not last-generation WSA II stock quietly rebranded as a deal. This XP-sanctioned pairing solves it cleanly: the DEUS II remote control package with the 11 in (28 cm) FMF search coil, plus the WSA ST, XP's 72 g (2.5 oz) current-generation headphones. It is the lightest-on-your-head way into an XP Deus 2 bundle built entirely from today's line.
At a glance: Sanctioned XP bundle DEUS2-28FMFRC+WSAST: DEUS II remote control, 11 in (28 cm) FMF search coil (470 g / 16.6 oz; remote 150 g / 5.3 oz, stem 370 g / 13.1 oz), plus WSA ST wireless headphones (72 g / 2.5 oz). Coil and remote waterproof to 20 m (66 ft). Five-year XP warranty. Made in France.
Why this bundle and not one of the other five
Across the six DEUS II WSA-series configurations we stock, this is the value all-rounder. The 11 in (28 cm) coil is the platform's benchmark size, balanced depth, coverage and control for fields, parks, homesites and beaches. The WSA ST side of the bundle is a deliberate choice, not a downgrade: at 72 g (2.5 oz) you stop noticing them by the second hour, they run about 15 hours, recharge over USB in about 2 hours, and they carry the same zero-latency XP link and Multi-Process support as their over-ear sibling, with a storage case in the box. If you hunt windy beaches or want maximum isolation, step to the 11 in bundle with the over-ear WSA XL ST. If your ground is tight and iron-choked, our 9 in (22.5 cm) WSA ST bundle trades coverage for separation, and open-acreage hunters should see the 13x11 in (34x28 cm) version. A quiet bonus: the WSA ST also pairs with XP's ICON and ICON X remotes, so it stays useful if a second XP machine ever joins the family.
Multi-Process: two detectors in your ears
The WSA ST is ST-generation, which matters more than the name suggests: since firmware V4.0 the DEUS II can run Multi-Process, two simultaneous audio channels, one listening slow and deep, one snapping fast at small targets beside iron, with Audio Morphing, Chorus FX and presets including DUAL AXIS. Older WSA II headphones never get this. It is the clearest reason the current generation is worth insisting on.

Waterproof, stated honestly
The detector, coil and remote control alike, is IP68 rated to 20 m (66 ft), with an optional antenna required when the coil is fully submerged. The WSA ST headphones are rainproof, not submersible: hunt through drizzle and splash, but do not dunk them. For diving, XP's answer is the wired BH-01 bone conduction headphones, rated with the detector to 20 m (66 ft). We would rather say so here than let the surf teach you.
Who it is for
Hunters in hot, humid country where over-ear cans become saunas, hikers and travelers who count every ounce in the pack, and first-time DEUS II buyers who want the full wireless experience from the current generation at the friendliest price of the six configurations. Serious gold prospectors should step to the DEUS II Gold package, whose HF2 elliptical search coil runs 9 to 120 kHz.
What is included
One XP DEUS II detector package in the remote control configuration with the 11 in (28 cm) FMF search coil (XP SKU DEUS2-28FMFRCEA), and one pair of WSA ST wireless headphones with storage case (XP SKU WSAST). The person answering your DEUS II question may be the one packing your order for the UPS run. We publish XP's real figures because we swing this gear ourselves, and the story is more important than the artifact.
