Description

Wireless was the XP ICON's headline. Comfort is what keeps it swinging. Most hunts end early for one of two reasons: your arm is tired or your ears are. This XP ICON bundle answers both, pairing XP's lightest Fast Multi Frequency metal detector with the WSA XL ST headphones, the full-size over-ear model of XP's current ST line, so the day ends when the daylight does.

At a glance: XP ICON Fast Multi Frequency metal detector with ICON28 11 in (28 cm) coil and WSA XL ST over-ear wireless headphones. About 735 g (1.62 lb) fully equipped without the remote on the stem, per XP. Waterproof to 5 ft (1.5 m) standard, 16 ft (5 m) with BH-02 and waveguide. Made in France.

What is in this bundle

The XP ICON (remote, ICON28 coil, S-Telescopic Lite stem) plus the WSA XL ST headphones, the over-ear flagship of XP's wireless line at 250 g (8.8 oz). Two factory-boxed XP products in one XP-sanctioned pairing, priced at the sum of the two, so you give up nothing by ordering them together: one order, one shipment, zero guesswork about what pairs with what.

Why the over-ear pairing and not the factory on-ear pack

XP's factory pack puts the ICON with the on-ear WSA ST headphones: 72 g, minimal, great in July. The WSA XL ST trades that minimalism for closed over-ear cups, and the cups earn their keep in three real situations: wind across open ground, cold mornings where they double as ear covers, and trashy sites where a faint, deep whisper hides under surface chatter. Both models ride XP's ultra low latency wireless link, about 4 ms, with automatic on and off. Most dealer pages for this exact pairing stop at a contents list; the table below is XP's own figures, and the waterproof section states the conditions those pages skip. Want recovery gear in the same box? The Adventure Pack adds the MI-6 pinpointer and Backpack 240. Want more machine? The XP ICON X version of this bundle adds a 28 kHz single frequency, doubled program slots and finer ferrous ID.

Waterproof, stated precisely

The ICON carries an IP68 rating, waterproof 5 m / 16 ft, and that 5 m ceiling is real, but XP attaches conditions most listings skip. Out of the box, with the standard connector cap fitted, the remote is rated to 5 ft (1.5 m) for up to 30 minutes: creeks, surf wading and rain are working conditions. To go below that, two things must change: the BH-02 bone conduction headphones replace the cap with their waterproof connector, and the waveguide keeps the radio link alive at depth. With both fitted, the ICON becomes a true underwater metal detector to 16 ft (5 m). The WSA XL ST headphones in this bundle are your dry-land audio; they are not dive gear.

Who it is for

First detector buyers who want a machine they will not outgrow in a season, upgraders leaving a single-frequency entry unit, and coin, relic and beach hunters who value a fully wireless metal detector bundle where coil, remote and headphones each carry their own battery. One honest limit: no ICON factory program is a dedicated gold prospecting program. If gold is the goal, XP's in-brand answers are the DEUS II Gold package and XP gold pans; if you are weighing the flagship anyway, an XP DEUS 2 bundle is the platform this FMF ecosystem grew from.

History Seekers is a small American business and an authorized XP dealer. Everyone here detects, top down, for gold, relics, coins and jewelry, and prior field experience is a hiring requirement, not a coincidence. The person answering your ICON question may be the one packing your order for the UPS run. We publish XP's real figures, conditions included, because we swing this gear ourselves, and the story is more important than the artifact.
