What Fits the Minelab Vanquish 460 and 560: Coils, Audio & Parts
The short answer: the Minelab Vanquish 460, Vanquish 560, and Vanquish 560 Pro-Pack share one coil family, the V8X, V10X, and V12X, and Minelab's manual also lists the Equinox EQX 06, EQX 11, and EQX 15 coils as supported. Coiltek's NOX Double-D coils fit as well. Wireless audio on these two machines is Bluetooth LE Audio only, and the V10 and V12 skidplates and the Vanquish lower shaft are the wear parts. The one mistake to avoid: the Vanquish 460 and 560 are Minelab's newer 60 Series, not the earlier 340, 440, and 540. The 60 Series runs on a built-in rechargeable battery, so the Vanquish AA battery pack is a 340/440/540 part and has no place on these machines. The audio wall is stricter still: Minelab's manual states the 560 and 460 pair only with headphones that support Bluetooth LE Audio with the LC3 codec, so the ML 80 and ML 100 Bluetooth sets built for the 540 and the Equinox 600/800 will not pair with a 460 or 560. And the coil direction runs one way: Equinox EQX coils fit the Vanquish 60 Series, but Minelab does not list V-series coils as fitting an Equinox.
Search coils for the Vanquish 460 and 560
Three Minelab V-series coils, three Equinox coils, and four Coiltek coils fit these machines. The V-series coils are waterproof Double-D and interchange across the 460, 560, and Pro-Pack:
- Minelab V8X, 8x5 in / 20x13 cm Double-D: the second coil in the 560 Pro-Pack box; the separation coil for trashy parks and tight spots.
- Minelab V10X, 10x7 in / 25x18 cm Double-D: the coil the 460 ships with; the balanced all-rounder.
- Minelab V12X, 12x9 in / 30x23 cm Double-D: the coil the 560 ships with; coverage and depth for fields and beach.
Minelab's manual lists the Equinox EQX coils as supported on the Vanquish 60 Series, so an Equinox owner's coils cross over:
- Minelab EQX 06, 6 in / 15 cm Double-D: the smallest coil available for the platform.
- Minelab EQX 11, 11 in / 28 cm Double-D: the round general-purpose coil.
- Minelab EQX 15, 15x12 in / 38x30 cm Double-D: the largest coverage coil for open ground.
Coiltek's NOX Double-D line is listed by Coiltek for the Vanquish as well as the Equinox and X-Terra:

Skidplates and shaft parts
- Minelab V10 skidplate (part 3011-0412): the wear plate for the V10X coil.
- Minelab V12 skidplate (part 3011-0411): the wear plate for the V12X coil.
- Minelab Vanquish / X-Terra Pro lower shaft assembly (part 3011-0419): one genuine lower per coil, pre-mounted, is the fastest coil swap there is.
Audio for the Vanquish 460 and 560
Both machines have a 3.5 mm / 1/8 in wired headphone socket, and the 460 and 560 ship with wired headphones in the box. Wireless pairing is Bluetooth LE Audio with the LC3 codec only; the ML 60 earbuds that ship in the 560 Pro-Pack are that kind of headphone, and the older ML 80 and ML 100 are not.
